Look Fantastic April Box: The Spring Edition

It's time for another monthly box review! This time I'm going to be sharing what's inside the April Look Fantastic box and also letting you know my first impressions on a few of the products inside too. This month's box is The Spring Edition and is centered around brightening skincare, rejuvenating bodycare and colourful makeup!

About Look Fantastic Beauty Boxes

The Look Fantastic Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service and each box is filled with 6 beauty products worth atleast £50. So with this box you are guaranteed to receive atleast triple in value of products each month compared to the actual box price, which I think is pretty amazing right? (This month's is worth over £65!) The boxes are priced between £13 to £15 depending on the length of subscription you buy from them, with free delivery included in that price too!
Ameliorate Transforming Body lotion

First up in the box this month we're getting a Transforming Body Lotion from Ameliorate which is specifically formulated to help treat Keratosis Polaris! (That's the bumpy skin you can often find on the back of your arms) It's a rich moisturiser that uses Lactic acid to get rid of dead skin cells and reveal renewed, soft and healthy skin, it's also Dermatologist approved too so I was very excited to put it to the test!

Formula wise it feels very rich on the skin but still soaks in really nicely, it does leave a slight stickiness to begin with after first applying but that quickly disappears in less than 15 minutes! I've been using this for around two weeks now and I'm honestly blown away, it's completely changed the texture on my elbows! The first night I used it on just one arm and after that one night the arm with the moisturizer was so much smoother than the other, I couldn't quite believe it and made everyone in my house touch it to check too as I've never had results happen that drastically from a body moisturiser. The only downside for me is the fragrance, it's not unpleasant as such but has a scent similar to something you'd usually find in a chemist! I can't quite put my finger on it?

Would I repurchase?

If I ever have any dry patches that need rescuing quickly then definitely but for everyday use I do prefer something a little nicer scent wise.

Minetan Coffee Scrub

Also in the box we're getting a pack of Coffee Scrub from the brand Minetan, which is made from freshly ground coffee aswell as an array of natural ingredients to help remove dry flaky skin! I'm actually not a big fan of coffee scrubs myself as they're usually quite messy and I don't really like my body smelling of coffee, so I'll be giving this one to my sister who loves them!

Erno Laszlo Hydraphel Skin Supplement

Next up in the box we're getting a Erno Laszlo Hydraphel Skin Supplement which is a calming toner targeted towards dry and sensitive skin, formulated to hydrate and repair your complexion after cleansing. It also contains a blend of active humectants to help boost cell renewal, encouraging soft and supple skin!

Ingredient List

Water (Aqua/Eau), Glycereth-26, Glycereth-7, Panthenol, Sodium PCA , Allantoin, Polyacrylamide, Parfum (Fragrance), Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Citral, Geraniol, Citronellol, Linalool, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 15985 (Yellow 6), CI 61570 (Green 5).

I've been using this around two weeks now after cleansing and it really is a lovely toner! It leaves my skin feeling so glowy and soft, and sinks into the skin so nicely without any sticky or greasy residue at all. My only slight complaint is that it is a pretty small bottle 15ml bottle we're getting but saying that I have been able to get two weeks worth out of it and considering how expensive a full size is, I really can't complain and have loved getting to sample it!

Would I repurchase?

No. Although I did really enjoy using it, I definitely couldn't justify £64 on a single skincare product for the full size!

Starskin 100% Camellia Mask

Another skincare item we're getting this month is the Starskin 100% Camellia 2-step oil sheet mask, which I was very intrigued to try as I've never tried a 2 step sheet mask before! It aims to target dry, dull skin and to soothe and restore your natural radiance.

First Step: 100% Camellia Seed Oil
Second Step: A Niacinamide, Mulberry Bark Extract and Peony Root infused sheet mask

I used this when the box first arrived earlier this month and was really impressed! Firstly the actual mask was so easy to apply and fit my face almost perfectly, which is definitely rare for a sheet mask right? It felt really nice and soothing on my face whilst on then after removing left my skin looking sooo glowy and feeling really hydrated, without leaving any sticky or greasy feeling on the skin at all. It definitely gets my approval and would be a great mask to use as a glowly quick fix for tired, dull skin!

Would I repurchase?

Yes! It's a little pricey but it's definitely one of the best I've tried to date.

Vintage Cosmetics Company Tweezers

Next up in the box we're getting a pair of Tweezers from the Vintage Cosmetics Company, who are a completely new brand to me but have some of the cutest Vintage style beauty products! I think these are such a great practical addition to the box as I'm forever loosing my tweezers, anyone else?

Quality wise they're really good and pluck brow hairs effortlessly! I usually prefer a more precised point with my tweezers and tend to stay away from the slanted styles but I haven't had any issues with these at all and have got along really well with them. They're also super pretty on the eyes too and are definitely some of the cutest looking tweezers I've seen, they've got my approval for sure as a pink lover!

Would I repurchase?

Yes, quality wise I really can't fault them!

Product Value: £8

Bell√°pierre Peach Blossom Palette

Lastly this month we're getting a palette, yay! I'm always very happy to see one in a LF box as a huge palette addict. The Bell√°pierre Peach Blossom palette is launching exclusively in this month's box and contains 4 pretty Spring shades: 1 matte and 3 shimmers. The mix of shades are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for me as I'm a sucker for peach and golden shades, the perfect combo right?

I've only tried this one a handful of times so far but on first impressions I've found the quality to be really good, as you'd expect for the price tag! The shimmers are especially beautiful, they're packed with pigment and apply to the eyes so smoothly. A fool proof formula that's so easy to work with! I found the single matte shade a little less pigmented and did need some building up on the eyes but overall I'm still really impressed, it's just a little sheerer than it looks in the pan. That shade also doubles up as a gorgeous blush too, adding a lovely flush of colour to the cheeks!

We're getting amazing value with this item too as the palette retails for £28.99 which is almost triple the price of this month's box, pretty amazing right? And that's just one product!

Would I repurchase?

Yes, these are definitely my kinda shades! I do need to give it some more time test wise though and see how the shades truly last when we're out of lockdown!

Product Value: £28.99

..and that's it! I hope you enjoyed hearing about what's inside the April Look Fantastic box and my first impressions on a few of the products. Once again I'm really impressed with this month's edit and the value for money we're getting with all of those Spring treats. My favourite pick for this month has to be the Starskin mask, the perfect quick fix for glowy hydrated skin!

Let me know in the comments if you've tried any products from this month's box before and your thoughts?
