My thoughts on three new additions to the Pixi Glow range

It's time for another skincare post, this time I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on three new additions to the Pixi Glow Range, including the Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel, the Glow Tonic Serum and the very interesting new On-The-Glow Moisture Stick which was the product I was most excited to try myself! So, let's get into the post..

Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel

First up, let's start with the Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel! This aims to remove impurities without stripping the skin of essential moisture and help refine and brighten your complexion, leaving skin looking and feeling energized and smooth.

Ingredients included:

Glycolic Acid
• Horse Chestnut Extract
• Aloe Vera
• Ginseng

I've been really enjoying this cleanser and have been using it in the mornings alone and in the evenings for my second cleanse after removing makeup. It does actually remove makeup nicely but as it contains Glycolic Acid it can't be used around the eye area so I've been using a balm cleanser or makeup remover as my first step then going in with this one second. It has a clear gel like consistency that feels so fresh and cooling on the face, definitely making it an ideal summer cleanser in this warm weather we've been having!

Results wise, it gives my skin a gorgeous glow from within look and leaves it feeling squeaky clean and smooth, whilst also feeling pretty soft too.  My skin does feel ready for some moisturizer after using this but I definitely expected that from an exfoliating cleanser. It doesn't leave it feeling particularly dry as such, just ready for that next step! Overall though I've loved adding this one into my skincare routine, it's one of my favourite exfoliating cleansers I've tried in a good while and I can't wait to keep using it. It's definitely a really great first step if you're looking for a product to kick off a glowy skincare routine!

On-The-Glow Moisture Stick

Next up is the On-The-Glow Moisture Stick which is the product I've been most intrigued to try as it can be used on the face, body, lips AND hair, so it has so many different uses! This one aims to protect, treat and increase moisture level immediately and long term whilst also revitalising and balancing skin.

Ingredients included:

Vitamin D2
• Ginseng
• Glycolic Acid

Now on to my own thoughts! Firstly it's really easy to apply and not as messy as I expected, you just swipe on the product and massage into the skin like a regular moisturiser. I've also been using this a lot swiped onto my cheek bones without rubbing it into the skin and it acts as a gorgeous dewy highlighter that way, making it a great alternative if you're looking to highlight the face but without the glitter found in most highlighters. As a facial moisturizer it hydrates the skin well and adds a really pretty dewy glow to the face, more glowy than any moisturizers I've tried in the past. It might be a little too glowy for some but I absolutely love it as I'm all about that dewy base right now, matte is definitely not for me! The only downside is that it can feel a little greasy on the skin after it's first applied but the results are definitely worth it for me.

I also really love using this one on the lips too as a lip balm, it feels so moisturizing and adds a really nice shine to them. Perfect for those no makeup days when you're still wanting a little shine on the lips! Lastly, the other way I've been enjoying using this one is on the body.. yes, there are even more uses for this one little product! It works just as well as a body moisturizer as it does on the face and is perfect for adding quick hydration to the skin if you're in a rush, it also adds that amazing glow too which I'm currently obsessed with!

So overall I really do rate the new moisture stick! It's become a summer essential for me and is probably one of my favourite multi-use products I've tried so far with so many different benefits. I think this one would be especially handy to have if you suffer from any dry patches on the face and body or even the lips as you can easily apply this one out and about for an on-the-go moisture fix! The slight downside is that it is a stick product so it's not the best hygiene wise if you're worried about germs, but I haven't had any issues and due to it being used in so many ways I'm sure I'll be getting through the stick quite quickly anyway, so it won't be a product that's opened for too long.

Glow Tonic Serum

Lastly let's talk about the new Glow Tonic Serum! This one aims to soften, refine and restore radiance for smooth and balanced skin. It also contains Glycolic Acid to gently resurface the skin, smooth out uneven texture and reduce the appearance of discolouration.

Ingredients Included:

Glycolic Acid
• Aloe Vera
• Ginseng

Now on to my own thoughts! I've been using this one nightly after cleansing and it's such a nice lightweight serum, that doesn't feel at all heavy or oily on the skin. Results wise, it leaves my skin looking fresh and glowy and I've also noticed that over time my skin does feel quite a bit smoother after adding this into my routine. So it's definitely another great addition to the collection and is a really good option if you have oily skin and are looking for something a little lighter, especially throughout the summer months!

..and that's it! I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on some new releases from Pixi. I've loved adding these three into my skincare routine and can't wait to keep using them, especially the On-The-Glow Moisture Stick which is definitely one of my favourite skincare picks to discover this summer!

Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of the products from the new Glow Range yet and your thoughts?

  2. I've always been quite intrigued by the stick as I know people don't apply it on top of their makeup throughout the day as it budges it but I quite like the idea of using it in summer and on my dry lips! I've been using the glow serum recently and have been loving it!

  5. I've just posted my thoughts on the review too haha. I love the Serum and the Cleansing gel the most! I prefer the pHenomenal Gel over the stick moisturiser since my skin doesn't get that overly greasy look when I wake up! Such a good range x
