Two drugstore highlighters I'm currently loving

Today on the blog I'm going to be sharing two highlighters that I'm currently loving, that are perfect for us pale skin girls. Sometimes pale highlighters can be so hard to find, especially more affordable drugstore ones where they can have less shade ranges, but don't worry I've got you covered! I've been reaching for these two over all of my other highlighters throughout the past couple of weeks, so I'm very excited to share them with you!

Physicians Formula 'Pearl' Butter Highlighter

First up is the Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter in the shade 'Pearl', which I picked up from New York last year, but luckily it's now available on Amazon too for a really reasonable price. I love everything about this Highlighter, particularly the formula. It has a cream to powder formula that also has a really bouncy texture to it, and applies to the skin so smoothly! I'm a massive fan of the Physicians formula butter products, they're packed with Murumuru Butter, Cupuacu Butter and Tucuma Butter, making the formula a dream on the skin. No powdery or dry finishes here, yay! I've also found that the formula doesn't exentuate any skin texture at all like some highlighters can, which I really like. Colour wise, it's a pretty Icy pearl shade which is perfect for anyone with pale skin like myself! It also makes for a gorgeous inner corner highlight on the eyes too, and really makes them pop.

Finish wise, it leaves the skin with a pretty icy pearly gleam, that can easily be built up for a more intense finish too without looking at all cakey on the face! It does have quite a bit of glitter in the formula, which I know a lot of people aren't keen on, but the glitters are really fine and are a lot less noticable when the product is on the face.

Wear wise, this one lasts really well and I've had no problems with it fading throughout the day at all. It must be the creamy butter texture as it just seems to sit onto the skin so well! Also, fun fact, this highlighter actually smells like butter.. yes, real butter. It's definitely a little bit strange doing my makeup in the morning and smelling butter! Overall, I couldn't recommend this one enough, I definitely need to pick up more shades soon as I'm obsessing over the gorgeous formula.

Wet N Wild MegaGlo 'Blossom Glow' highlighter

The second highlighter I'm currently loving and have been ever since I picked it up, is the Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighter in the shade 'Blossom Glow'. The shade is a gorgeous icy pink pearl shade that's perfect for my pale skin, so if you're a fellow fair skinned girl then I couldn't recommend this shade enough either, especially if you like a slightly pink toned highlighter that can still look natural! It has a lovely shimmery pearl like finish to it, and adds such a healthy glow to the skin. It builds up so well on the skin too, perfect for both a natural subtle glow or something more intense too, without enhancing any skin texture or fine lines, yay! There is some glitter in the finish, but again like the highlight I've mentioned above it's very finely milled and is only noticable in very bright lights, and still applies to the skin so smoothly with no chunky glitters.

Wear wise, I've found this one to last on my skin pretty well. It does fade towards the end of a longer day, but still leaves a glow to the cheeks, just not as intense as when first applied. One of the best things about this highlighter is that it's only £3.75, which I think is such a bargain for a highlighter this pretty and with the quality you are getting too. It's honestly better than a lot of my high end highlighters at the moment and I'm tempted to order a backup already!

...and that's it! I hope you enjoyed hearing about some highlighters I'm currently loving. I definitely need to try more from both of these brands this year as I'm so impressed highlighter wise, especially that gorgeous Wet N Wild one that you're probably already sick of hearing about if you follow me over on Instagram, oops!

Let me know in the comments what highlighters you're loving at the moment?
