My favourites from the New Colourpop x Disney Villains collection

Today on the blog I'm going to be sharing my favourite picks from the new Colourpop X Disney Villains collection, which is my absolute Dream makeup collection. I mean, not much gets better than Disney AND Colourpop, right?

'Mistress Of All Evil' Super Shock Highlighter

First up and probably my favourite pick from the collection is the 'Mistress Of All Evil' Super Shock Highlighter, which is of course Maleficent themed and she's my all time favourite Disney Villain! It's a gorgeous bronzed champagne shade, with silver and golden reflects. It's way too dark to use as a highlighter on my skin, so I've been using it on the eyes instead and it's perfect for finishing of a bronzed eye look! Formula wise, it has that same bouncy texture as all of the Super Shock products that we all know and love. It applies to the skin so easily and has a lovely buttery formula, with no fallout whatsoever, yay! I personally prefer applying this with my fingers as I don't find it works as well with a brush, and looses it's pigmentation that way. With the fingers this applies like a dream though, it's so pigmented too so one swipe and you're good to go!

Wear wise, this one lasts really well! The bouncy formula seems to grip onto the skin so well, so I definitely can recommend this formula if you're looking for something that's going to last you all day! Lastly, let's talk about the packaging as I am obsessed with this one. The designers have definitely nailed the packaging spot on with the collection! I really love the bright neon design on the outside of the compact, it's so different and unique compared to anything I've seen before and works with all of the Villains perfectly. I also really like the floral design on the inside of the compact and the outer packaging too, which adds a touch of girlyness to the overall look. I'm also very happy it comes with a built in mirror too, making this perfect for popping in your handbag for on to go makeup!

'Puppies!!!' Ultra Glossy Lip

My next favourite is one of the Ultra Glossy Lips in the shade 'Puppies!!!' from the Cruella De Vil collection. Firstly, how beautiful is this packaging? I love irredescent tube that's covered in cute illustrations of items relating to the villains, including the 101 Dalmation puppy paw prints and Ursula's nautilus shell, aka a Disney geeks dream! I also really like the box the gloss comes in too, with the red, white and black detailing and Cruellas famous silouette. They have nailed the packaging with this one too!

Now let's get onto the actual product! It's a clear gloss with golden reflects and a champagne undertone, which I've loved layering over top of lighter nude lipsticks for an extra glossy finish, but it looks equally as pretty alone too. It's quite a glittery gloss, but still wearable for everyday too as the glitters are so fine and delicate. Formula wise, it's not sticky at all and feels really comfortable on the lips. It's enriched with jojoba oil too, so there's no need to worry about any dry lips with this one, yay! It applies really evenly to the lips with no clumps whatsoever, so it's perfect to pop on the lips if you're in a rush and looking to reach for something very quick and easy to apply!

Wear wise, it wears on my lips for around 3/4 hours so it's not the best wear wise and will definitely need reapplying throughout the day. Luckily, this one does wear off the lips really evenly without any patchiness or clumping. Overall though, it's still one of my favourites I've tried from the collection, and I can't wait to keep wearing it, especially throughout the summer months as I can imagine this one will look even more amazing in the sunshine!

Dr Facilier Crème Lux Lipstick

Another product I'm loving from the collection is the Dr Facilier Crème Lux Lipstick, which is a lovely warm red toned berry shade. I have become obsessed with this formula ever since it has arrived, and it may even be my new favourite drugstore lipstick formula! It's so creamy and comfortable on the lips, and glides on so easily whilst still managing to last really well throughout the day too, the only downside due to being so creamy is that it does sometimes transfer whilst eating but again like the gloss it doesn't become patchy whatsoever! Another bonus is that it's packed with a blend of Acai, Jojoba and Pomegranate Seed butters, so great for keeping the lips in good condition and means no dry lips, yay!

It has an almost Demi matte like finish but still has a shine to it when the lips catch the light, which gives it a really healthy looking finish. Overall, I have no complaints about this lipstick besides the transfer whilst eating. I definitely need to pick up some more shades in the formula as it really is a dream on the lips!  Also, how amazing is this packaging? They've captured Dr Facilier perfectly in that Neon Design. I also love that they've engraved the word Villain into the actual lipstick too, it finishes the overall design so well, making it that extra bit special!

'Perfectly Wretched' Jelly Much shadow

Lastly, but by no means least is the 'Perfectly Wretched' Jelly Much shadow from the Cruella collection. It's an icy champagne shade with multicoloured glitter reflects, and doesn't it look gorgeous? It's a little less buttery than the Super Shock Highlighter I mentioned before due to having so much glitter packed into it, but it still glides onto the eyes really evenly. It's a VERY glittery finish as you'll see from the Swatch below, so if you're not a fan of glitter shadows you'll probably be best giving this one a miss. If you are a fan though, you'll absolutely love this one!

I was a little bit sceptical about the formula before it arrived, and thought it might be more of a gimmick being a jelly shadow but boy was I wrong! It's actually so easy to work with and is very similar to the Colourpop Supershock shadows application wise and works best applied with the fingers! The creamy formula glides onto the eyes so effortlessly. You really don't need much product at all and less is definitely more with this one as it can clump up a little if you apply to many layers, so you do need to be careful with how much you apply. The only other downside I've noticed is that it can have a slight bit of fallout whilst being applied but apart from those two things I have no complaints whatsoever and definitely want to try more of their Jelly Much shades now!
