Too Faced Peach Perfect foundation review

It's time for another foundation review, yay! This time I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on the Peach Perfect comfort matte foundation from Too Faced which I've been so pleasantly surprised with after putting it to the test over the past couple of weeks. Foundation is one product I'm always excited to try out and test, especially when it's as pretty looking as this one and smells like peaches. Yes, it's peach scented too just like their other peach products!

I'm a big fan of how this one looks. It comes in a gorgeous peach and gold coloured tube, and isn't it just one of the prettiest foundations you've ever seen? It's definitely an aesthetically pleasing one and I love it. Aswell as looking good it's also super practical too with the pump applicator, which makes it easy to get the perfect desired amount of foundation out with no mess or waste! It's a great size for travelling and on the go too, so you can easily throw this one in your handbag incase you're in need of any emergency touch ups throughout the day!

There's a range of 20 different shades available, so it's not the biggest shade range but it does have a fair mix of both darker and lighter tones, from what I can see on the website! They have options for lots of different undertones too, whether that's rosy, neutral or golden which I love as it makes it really easy to choose a shade suitable for your preference and skin tone.

I'm pretty pale myself and usually end up with the palest shade in the range. I've been trying 'Swan' and 'Porcelain' which both have a neutral undertone, Swan matches my skin so well and blends into my skin tone perfectly whilst still giving it some colour, compared to my usual ghost like appearence. Seriously, if I was a Disney princess I would definitely be Snow White! Porcelain is quite a bit too dark for me right now, but once summer comes around I'm sure I'll be able to get some use out of this one by mixing a little in with 'Swan'.

The foundation has a light/medium coverage but it is buildable too, without looking too heavy! It's definitely more of a Matte finish as stated but it still looks like skin, so it's perfect if you prefer a more natural and healthy looking finish like me, as appose to a more completely full coverage look! It does cover any redness and dull areas really well when built up though, so this would be great if you're looking to cover up redness but still have a natural looking finish. It doesn't completely cover blemishes for me, but I've found this formula works nicely with all of my go to concealers so that's no problem for me, as that's a concealers job anyway!

I actually usually prefer a dewy foundation as I find most matte foundations make my skin look really dry and sometimes pretty cakey too, but this one gives a shine free matte finish that blends into the skin like a dream. It blends like velvet, making the coverage very easy to build up with no issues at all, perfect for creating a quick light coverage look or something more built up too. I personally find this works best with a beauty sponge, but it does still work great with a brush too, I'm just all about the beauty sponges lately!

The only downside for me is that I do have dry skin and this does cling to a few dry patches which I was kind of expecting for a matte foundation, so overall this one will definitely be better suited to someone with a normal to oily skin type. If you do have dry skin though definitely don't write this one off as besides the few dry patches around my nose my skin loves this foundation, just maybe try a sample before deciding whether to purchase in full size or not!

Now, let's talk about how well this lasts because this foundation does not budge, even with zero setting spray or powder! It easily lasts me 12 hours, and I wouldn't even be surprised if it lasted longer than that too. ( I'll make sure to update you here, if I give this one a longer wear test) I was so suprised looking in the mirror after my first full day wearing this, it really did look exactly like it did at the start of the day. Most importantly, no redness peeping through and no patchiness, yay! So, wear wise I honestly can't fault this one, if you're struggling to find a foundation that lasts all day then this is the one for you!

The foundation retails for around £27 at the moment for a 48ml tube, so it's definitely on the higher end side, but it's not the priciest either compared to some other high end brands especially considering the generous size. So, it sits in the middle for a high end foundation at the moment! Obviously there are some great drugstore foundations right now, but wear wise none I've tried have compared to this one, and for the longlasting finish alone I would repurchase it! Also, the fact this is so long wearing also means you don't need to top up at all throughout the day, so these tubes should definitely last me longer than my usual foundations.

Overall, I'm so pleasantly surprised with this foundation and can definitely see why it's been so well loved by many recently. My dry skin and a matte foundation are usually a very bad match, so I'm really impressed with how well this one applies and lasts on my skin! This would definitely be a great option for anyone with a more normal to oily skin type, who are looking for a long lasting matte finish. I'm a big fan and I really hope they release one similar with a more dewy finish soon too, as that would be a dream for my skin!

Let me know in the comments if you've tried the Peach Perfect foundation yet, and your thoughts?

  1. The Too Faced peach range is quite possibly my favourite range that they have ever come out with, even though I don't own many of the products from it, I definitely want them all! I do like the sound of this foundation though, I do get dry patches but not very often so I'm hoping it would perform well on my skin. I just need to find the right shade for me which is always an issue haha.

  5. I haven't tried alot of Too Faced but I really want to explore the brand some more. The foundation looks like it would work with my skin but I'm weary of the scent as my skin is sensitive. The brands packaging is gorgeous though I really need to pick some bits out
