3 must eats in New York

New York is one of the best places for great food, from pancakes to ice cream to savoury treats, they just seem to nail everything perfectly, so I'm very excited to share a few of my favourite eats that I discovered on my latest trip with you. We found some great eats throughout the city, but I thought I would narrow them down to just three for this particular post, including places that are more central and super easy to find!

First up is the very famous cereal milk soft serve from Milk Bar, it's ice cream that tastes exactly like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of cornflakes and it's delicious! It has such a nostaglic flavour to it, it's creamy and sweet but not overly sweet and has a slight salty undertone to it, which works so well.

I can definitely see why this has become so popular over the years, and 100% recommend trying this one as it really is incredible, and is easily the best soft serve ice cream I've tried before. We actually went back here a second time as we loved it so much! It's a very popular snack to try so there is usually quite a long queue to order but as they sell mainly snack based food it goes down pretty quickly. It was actually really hot when we visited, so this the perfect snack to help us cool down, however even in the colder weather I would definitely still grab one of these as it's way too tasty to miss!

Location: 220 8th Ave, 21st St

We visited Juniors three times on our trip to NYC, so I think that just proves how good it is! They are famous for their breakfasts and of course their enormous cheesecakes, which are just as delicious as they look, mine was so fluffy and not dense at all like some cheesecakes. I opted for red velvet, and it was easily the tastiest cheesecake I've ever tried, if you're a fan of red velvet then you will absolutely love this one! If not, they have a great selection of other flavours too, so I'm sure there's something for everyones tastes here!

Aswell as the cheesecakes we also loved the breakfast at Juniors, especially the pancakes which were so fluffy, they even topped my favourite Disney World pancakes, sorry Disney! The prices here are actually pretty reasonable for such a central location and portions were huge so you definitely get your moneys worth in my opinion. If you're looking for a traditional American breakfast with bacon, pancakes and all the trimmings then this is definitely the place to go.

Location: 1626 Broadway @ 49th Street

If you're a fan of musicals and Disney music then Ellens Stardust diner is a must do! We loved the breakfast here so much that we even came back a second time. My personal favourite was the 'Josephs Technicolor dreamcoat' rainbow bagel ( love the name! ) which was filled with funfetti cream cheese and came with a side of tots, which is my idea of heaven and perfect if you're like me and love a mix of both sweet and savoury. Aswell as the great food, the waitresses and waiters perform around the restaurant, so waiting for your food is definitely not boring here. They sang quite a few Disney songs both times we were there so I was in my element as a big Disney fan!

One thing to note is that this is a popular one, so you may have to wait a while to get seated but it's 100% worth the wait in my opinion. Another thing to mention is that the seats are very close together here, so if you're not a fan of cramped spaces you might want to give this one a miss but it didn't bother me at all!

There's just a few snacks and restaurants that I enjoyed on my recent trip, I really couldn't recommend these three enough, especially the famous cereal milk soft serve from Milk Bar which exceeded all my expectations. So, if you're heading to New York anytime soon then definitely consider giving these places a try, especially if you're a big foodie like myself!
