Happy mail club: Tropical summer August box

Another month means another Happy Mail Club unboxing.. yay! This is a fairly new monthly box company but I've been really impressed with both the boxes I've tried out from them so far, especially this one! This months box is Tropical Summer themed, so if you're a fan of bright colours and flamingos then I think you're going to love this one..

Happy mail club boxes feature a selection of greeting cards, gift wrap, stationary bits and more which are sourced from Indie designers throughout the UK, so their boxes are perfect if you're looking to support lots of small businesses in one place. I'm a huge stationary geek myself, and love planning and scrapbooking so I was very excited to try out another box from them.

Their tropical summer box is a one off box which is perfect if you're looking to gift someone one or if you're just looking to buy a one of monthly box for yourself without having to commit to a subscription. Either way, I really like that you don't have to commit as I think that really puts me off most of the time with alot of other monthly boxes.

The box contains a mix of cards, lots of cute stationary bits, an enamel pin, some prints and even tea! So there's a great range of goodies in the August box and I'm excited to share a bit more about them all with you..

First up in this months box is this gorgeous enamel pin from Punky Pins! I was so excited to see this in the box as I love collecting pins just like this one. I've actually had a look on the makers website and this pin retails for £7 at the moment, so that's over half the price of this months box already.. so I could definitely tell we were going to get our moneys worth with this one again just like with last months box.

I think the design on this pin is so cute, and I love that it features two of my favourite colours, pink and purple.. I mean who doesn't like those colours? I think this would look really nice styled on something like a denim jacket or a bag.. the colours on this one would definitely work well against a denim background, so I'm very excited to try and style it myself. It's definitely a very cute addition to the box, and fits in with the tropical summer theme perfectly!

Next up are two lovely cards, one pineapple themed and one flamingo themed.. that both look perfect for summer. I don't know what brand these are from, but I really like that they are blank inside meaning they're perfect for gifting for lots of different occasions, whether that be a birthday, a thank you or even a get well soon card. So, I'm sure I'll definitely be getting a good use out of both of these this month, even though they are almost too pretty to let go of!

Design wise, I think these are gorgeous.. simple but very pretty indeed. I especially love the flamingo design, and think that the flamingo painting used for the print has been done so well, I'm almost tempted to keep this one for myself and turn it into a print and add it too my wall, I also think it would make such a pretty flatlay prop for pictures throughout the summer months.

Also in the box we are recieving a pen, and if you're like myself you can never have too many pens as I am always loosing them around the house.. so this is definitely a nice practical item to have in the box. I love the design too, especially the pink polka base!

Along with that we are also getting a pack of four paper straws! I am so happy the world seems to be becoming alot more eco conscious, especially over the last few months or so.. and these are the perfect alternative to your regular plastic straws, they also look alot prettier too.. perfect for those instagrammable summer cocktails! So, I'm very excited to get some use out of these over the next few weeks or so.

No subscription box is complete without some edible goodies, and in this months box we are getting a little pack of Parma Violet sweets ( yum! ) and also some tea. The tea is a tropical green tea, which matches the boxes theme perfectly and is from the English Tea Shop. I've actually tried this flavour before and it's such a lovely one, very refreshing with the tropical taste.. I'm not a huge tea drinker myself but I love trying out different fruit flavour teas, so I'll look forward to enjoying this one later this week!

Yes there's more! .. This months box is definitely filled with lots of great products. We are getting two gorgeous summer themed prints, which I both love.. I think the watercolour designs look so pretty, they are definitely the type of prints I tend to go for myself when buying them. The first print is a quote style print, with the words 'Say yes to new adventures' and I will definitely be adding this one to my print collection on my wall, I think motivational ones like these are lovely to have around the house to keep you feeling positive and motivated.. aswell as obviously looking very pretty too!

The second print, is another lovely flamingo design.. simple but very pretty indeed. I love watercolour style prints and think the colours used in this one work so well together, especially the splash of purple on the flamingos feathers. This is another item that I'll definitely be using as a background in my photos throughout the summer months as the colours fit in with my theme perfectly! The prints from Rose and Willow usually cost about £3 each, so I was so pleasantly surprised to see not one, but two inside this months box.

Lastly and one of my favourite items in the box are these adorable paper clips, and aren't they just the cutest? I've never seen paper clips look this great before so I was very excited to see them inside the box alongside the other products. I think they are a lovely addition and also fit in with the tropical summer theme perfectly.. and of course they get double points for being pink, yay!

I will definitely be making good use of these myself whether that's using them whilst planning some blogposts or adding them into one of my summer flatlays. So, these little additions definitely get a big thumbs up from me!

The box costs £12 including postage, which seems to be around the standard price for alot of subscription boxes these days. What I think is special about this one though is that you get to support and try out products from lots of different small businesses around the UK, for a very fair price! I also think this box would make the perfect gift for a stationary lover or someone who loves crafting, as I think all of the designs in this box are lovely.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what was inside this months Happy Mail Club box, I love range of goodies in this box, especially those gorgeous prints and the adorable flamingo paper clips of course! Let me know what you think of this months Happy Mail Club box in the comments?

  2. Oh my gosh this is SO cute!! The paper clips and the pin have to be my favourite parts. I've had my eye on punky pins for so long but unfortunately haven't had the funds to order yet. I love that this focuses on small, indie business as they're the ones that need our support the most in this bloody economy! I'm a big fan of the paper straws too, good to know they're encouraging the use of them!

  6. I love EVERYTHING about this box! And they all make great photography props too, a double yay in my books. My favourite items are the prints and pins. I've started to collect pins, not exactly sure what I'm going to do with them just yet, but I'm sure it's going to involve a lot of customised diys!
