The sweetest macaron lip balms from MOR Boutique

Today on the blog I'm going to be talking about some adorable macaron lip balms from the company MOR Boutique, and don't they look gorgeous? They are actually a new brand to me but I've been so impressed with these products so I'm very excited to share my thoughts on them with you!

MOR Boutique are an Australian based brand, but their products are now being sold in the UK too.. yay! The brand was established in 2001, and they now sell a range of products including bath, body, lifestyle and beauty products...

" Each collection is inspired by the tales of ancient civilisations, by-gone eras, travel and art allowing the creation of a truly unique story, capturing and emanating a moment in time. "

I love the inspiration behind the brand, I think it's so unique and not like anything I've seen before myself. I can definitely see why the brands becoming so popular, as I think so many brands are trying to keep 'on trend' at the moment, instead of creating something unique like this one.. so I'm a big fan myself!

Now let's talk about the packaging.. because aren't these lip balms just gorgeous? These look just like the classic French sweet treat, but even prettier! I love that each scent is a different colour, and I think the colours look gorgeous against the gold edging on the tin too. Quality wise, this is your typical tin style lip balm but it feels quite a lot nicer than your typical Vaseline tin, and would be pretty hard to dent or damage!

Size wise these are the perfect size to just pop in your handbag or a jacket pocket for on the go or when travelling like most lip balms, but I think these are a lot prettier to use in public compared to your typical vaseline tin, haha! These are definitely some of the most aestheically pleasing lip balms I own, especially the black and white designs, which give me all of the Parisian vibes.

The lip balms contain lots of hydrating ingredients including nourishing jojoba, papaya, rosehip and coconut oils, which are also blended with beeswax, cocoa butter and vitamin E. So, theres definitely alot of great ingredients included in these balms, I especially love that they contain vitamin E as that's one ingredient that my own skin seems to love, especially my lips!

One of the star ingredients is the rose hip though, which is massively talked about when it comes to skincare. It's high in Vitamins A & C and rich in Omega 3, 6 & 9, which regenerate and assist in preventing premature ageing caused by sun damage.. So, this has definitely come to me at the perfect timing with all this warm weather we've been having lately!

They have a huge range of scents available including:

Blood orange
• French vanilla
• Rosebud
• Peach nectar
• Lychee flower
• Apple
• Sorbet
• Cassis noir
• Passion flower

The scents I've been trying are Blood Orange, French Vanilla and Cassis Noir. I really like all three of these scents, but my favourite has to be Blood Orange. I'm a huge fan of citrus and orange based scents myself, so this balm is definitely perfect for me.. and if you're a fan of your fruity scents too then I think you'll really like this one, it's the perfect refreshing scent for summer!

All three of the lip balms I've been trying seem to have the same effects on my lips, and these are definitely not just a pretty looking lip balm, they feel so hydrating and nourishing  on the lips too. These apply to the lips really easily, the formula doesn't feel dense or sticky at all and actually feels pretty light weight, which I really like! It does feel slightly greasy when first applied to the lips but I find that's a similar theme with quite alot of my other lip balms too and after sinking into the lips that soon goes away.

Result wise, it does instantly add moisture to the lips but when dealing with dry and chapped lips I found it took about 24 - 48 hours to a make difference to the condition my lips were in, and that's with reapplying a few times throughout the day. So, overall I think that's pretty good.. whilst using this regularly my lips do really feel and look alot healthier, so what more could I ask for?

Another thing I love about these is that they add such a pretty shine to the lips, almost like a gloss but without the sticky finish. So, that was definitely a great little bonus for me and I've found these are perfect for popping onto the lips on those 'No makeup' days, to keep the lips looking nice and healthy!

The lip balms vary depending on where you buy them from, and on Feel Unique they cost £6.00 at the moment. So, they are obviously not the cheapest price wise for a lip balm compared to some out there, however these definitely are a very good quality lip balm.

I couldn't justify spending that much on a lip balm all the time myself as I do go through them really quickly, but if you fancy treating yourself to a pricier one then I really do recommend these. I also think these would make such sweet stocking stuffers for Christmas, yes I said the dreaded word in July.. oops! These would even be a great little gift to add to a birthday present too, I know for sure I would be very happy to receive one of these myself!

I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on the MOR macaron lip balms, I really do think these are adorable and not only that but they most importantly leave the lips feeling great too! Let me know if you've tried any products from MOR Boutique before, and your thoughts?

The packaging is beautiful, and they come in some lovely scents too; I’d definitely go for Sorbet or Peach Nectar. You can never have too many lip products right?
