New Bronzer wardrobe from I Heart Revolution

Makeup revolution have recently released two very exciting new products: A bronzer wardrobe and also a highlighter wardrobe too, I was so excited to try both of these out when I saw they were being released as I think they look stunning! I'm going to split my reviews into two separate posts and in today's I'm going to share my thoughts and first impressions on the Bronzer wardrobe..

Firstly, how gorgeous does this palette look? I think the packaging and design have been done so well just like alot of the other girly packaging from I Heart Revolution. I love the gold palette, with the pink holographic detailing.. I think the two colours look so pretty against each other! You'll all know by now how much of a sucker I am for some cute packaging, and this is definitely one of my new favourites.

The only downside to the packaging is that it is pretty big, so this definitely wouldn't be ideal for on the go or when travelling but for at home this is perfect!

"A variety of deliciously golden shades to choose from; natural blonde, natural bronze, four shade pearlescent pink highlight, golden bronze, deep bronze, four shade warm tan, natural tan, duo-tone and cool bronze."

I think there's such a great range of shades in this one, and I can't believe how many you get for the price. There's a mix of bronzers, contour shades and even highlights. All of the shades can also be doubled up and used as eyeshadows too as you have a great mix of both mattes and shimmers in the palette, so this is definitely a great multi use palette.

There's something for pretty much every skin tone in this palette, whether you have pale or dark skin.. that's one thing I love about Makeup Revolution as a brand, they always accommodate all skin tones and bring out a great mix of shades with all of their products, even for super pale skin like mine!

The only shade I'm not so keen on is the furthest right shade, it just seems to always blend out into an almost purple like pink colour when I use it, and I just can't seem to find any use for it but apart from that one I really do like the rest of the shades. I've found the majority of shades seem to be warm toned which are the shades I always prefer to use myself, but if you prefer a cool toned bronzer you might struggle a little with this one as the majority are definitely more warm toned!

As you can see from the swatches these all blend out really nicely, I've tried these out with a range of different bronzer and contour brushes and they all apply to the skin really well, especially the shimmery shades. The only shade that comes across abit powdery is the pink toned shade I mentioned before, but apart from that one the formula of the rest of these is fantastic!

I've been really impressed to see just how well these shades blend out on the face too, I hadn't tried any Bronzer or contour products from Makeup Revolution before but these blend out so easily. A few of the darker shades take a little longer to blend out, but apart from that I have no complaints about the application of these shades at all.

I prefer a matte bronzer myself usually, but after trying out some of these shimmery bronzers I have definitely been converted.. I think the shimmer adds such a healthy glow to the skin, without looking overly glittery or shimmery like some I've tried before. As well as on the face, the shimmers look just as gorgeous on the eyes too and really help to make any eyeshadow look pop!

For a drugstore bronzer I've been really surprised to see how long lasting these are, I've found the powder shades start to fade after around six to eight hours.. which obviously isn't the longest time in the world but for the price I was pleasantly surprised!

The shimmer shades however are even better! I've found these last on me all day really well, they do fade slightly after around eight hours but I've actually found these shades fade out really naturally on the face, with no patchiness at all which is a big bonus. So, overall I'm definitely impressed with these shades and I can see now why so many people rave about the bronzers from Makeup Revolution!

The palettes are on sale for £12 at the moment, which I think is an absolute bargain for what you're getting. Even though I dislike one of the shades, the others definitely make up for it as there's some gorgeous shades in this palette.

If I'm being very picky, I do wish this palette had a mirror but apart from that I'm such a big fan of this product and I am so excited to keep using it. I'm so impressed with all the new bits Makeup Revolution as a whole are bringing out lately, and I think it's amazing that they are still keeping their prices so afforable too. So, if you're a fan of your contour and bronzing products I definitely recommend taking a closer look at this one in store at Superdrug!

I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on the new Bronzer wardrobe, I think this is such an amazing idea and I'm sure it's definitely going to be a very popular release from I Heart Revolution! I actually have a post coming on Tuesday which will be a review of the new highlighter wardrobe, so stay tuned for that too! Let me know if you've tried any new products from Makeup Revolution recently, and your thoughts?

  1. 12 pounds is not so much and I really do think all of the colors look nice on your hand. I'm just not a very big fan of bronzers in general, I think a girl needs to have a lot of skills to use it right. The palette looks great though!

    1. It's such a pretty one isn't it? Thanks for reading xx

  2. The packaging for these is SO pretty and I love the patterns in the bronzers themselves; I wouldn't want to use them and mess it up! £12 is really reasoanable I think, especially considering how many you're getting :) Great review as always!

    1. Thanks Jenny! I agree, such a fair price for all those shades :) xx

  3. I really hope they bring out a more cool-toned version because I would be all over this! The packaging is lovely, the selection is so varied and interesting, and the shade range is fantastic - plus the price is incredible! I just can't really pull off warm tones on my face. I'd be tempted to use this for eyeshadow though, it's that pretty!
