nspa skincare review: rejuvenating serum and smoothing eye cream

If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll know I've recently been testing out lots of different products that are available to buy from Asda, and I've been really impressed with everything so far! This month I've been trying out some of their skincare products, so I'm excited to share my thoughts on them with you in today's post!

If you didn't already know nspa are a brand that is exclusive to Asda, they have over 25 years experience and specialise in bodycare, skincare and also bath products too. They are a cruelty free brand, and aim to bring us high quality products at an affordable price.. which I'm sure is something we all want, right?

First up is their rejuvenating serum from the nspa expert collection. This product aims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles whilst also improving skin firmness too. It's fortified with crocus chrysanthus bulb extract which is proven to help reduce the appearance of skin aging. It's also blended with millet seed extract which helps to rejuvenate the skin, and reveal a radiant, smoother, and firmer complection.. so I was very excited to try this one out!

Now I can't talk about the wrinkle side of things as I am only twenty one, however I do have some fine lines on my forehead! I've been using this product once a night, and that seems to be enough to let it work its magic. After just over a week you could already see that the fine lines on my forehead were becoming less visible, which I think is amazing! I've been using the product for a while now, and it hasn't cleared them up completely which I wasn't expecting but it has definitely made a noticeable difference, so I was very pleased there.

One of my favourite things about the serum though, is how much more radiant it's made my skin look. I suffer from dry skin myself so it's pretty hard to get my skin looking radiant without using makeup, but this has massively helped with that. It adds a lovely subtle healthy glow to the skin which is perfect with the warmer months approaching, as that's a time I usually wear alot less makeup. So, if you're looking for a serum to help brighten up your skin, then I think you'll really get along with this product.

Another thing to mention is that this is definitely a light weight product, the formula feels quite watery and seems to soak up into the skin really quickly, which is a bonus if you're looking for something quick to add into your skincare routine. So, overall I do really like this product.. I didn't know what to expect for such an afforable serum but the results are definitely showing!

The second product I've been trying out is their smoothing eye cream. This one supports delicate skin around the eyes, and is enriched with hyalurolic acid and tetrapeptides, which aim to reduce the appearance of fine lines and crows feet around the eye area. It also contains specially selected actives to help firm and plump, whilst also aiming to enhance radiance and brighten up the under eyes too.

I don't actually have crows feet myself so I can't comment on this helping those but I suffer from pretty bad fine lines directly under my eyes and I also have bad dark under eyes too. I've been using this one twice a day, which is recommended and the main thing I've noticed is the difference to my dark circles. It's really helped to brighten up and add more radiance to my under eyes, which is a huge bonus for my tired looking eyes.. I find a lot of products don't live up to their claims when it comes to dark circles but this has really helped to make a difference. It hasn't completely gotten rid of my dark patches, which I wasn't expecting at all but I am still very impressed with the results.

Now for the fine lines, mine are pretty bad.. I have noticed a difference and it's definitely reduced the appearance of them but not enough to make a dramatic difference, however saying that my under eye fine lines are pretty bad.. I do suffer from a chronic illness myself which causes a lot of fatigue so that's something to bare in mind. I would definitely repurchase this eye cream for the benefits to my dark circles alone though, especially considering the afforable price too.

Another thing I have noticed a difference to since using this is that it's helped to make my under eyes feel alot firmer, and less puffy looking.. which I'm sure is something everyone wants, right? One slight downside with this cream though is that it doesn't soak up into the skin as quickly as the serum, and does feel abit more of a thicker consistensy and a little greasy too but considering the results and the price I really don't mind!

The Serum retails for just £10, but is often reduced to £8 and I think for a serum that's a bargain, I've definitely enjoyed seeing the benefits this has given my skin and will for sure consider buying another one when this one runs out. Another thing to mention, is a little goes a long way with this product so I think this will definitely be a long-lasting one.

The eye cream costs just £5, which I think is such an afforable price for an eye cream these days. I wouldn't say it's a luxury eye cream, but the benefits are definitely visible and I would definitely repurchase this one myself. I think if you suffer from dark circles like me then you'll really like this one, and another thing to mention is just like the serum a little goes a long way with this one too, so that's another bonus.

I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on some skincare bits from nspa that are available to buy from Asda, as you can see I was really pleasantly surprised with these and I definitely want to try more skincare from them now after trying them both. Let me know if you've tried any skincare products from nspa, and your thoughts?

  1. Wow these are much more affordable than I expected them to be! The packaging is lovely and looks SO high end! These look like the sort of products my Mum would like, so I may bookmark this page and refer back when it's her birthday in a few months! :)

  2. I didn't even really know Asda had their own skincare line, but this looks absolutely incredible. I'm getting old (nearly 29!) so I find skincare is becoming more and more important to me, and that eye cream in particular looks worth a shot - especially as I don't think I know of many eye creams under about £15!
Thanks so much for sharing - I will definitely be picking these up on my next shop!
