I Heart Revolution: Multi liner nudes pen

One of the newest releases from I Heart Revolution are their new multi liner pens, they have released three new retractable pens and in today's post I'm going to be talking about their nude lip liner pen. You all know by now how much I like Makeup Revolution as a whole, so I'm very excited to share my thoughts on one of their latest releases with you!

The pen contains four different nude lip liner shades, which are all contained inside a retractable pen.. which I think is such a clever and also fun idea, it's definitely giving me all the 90's vibes as I used to be obsessed with these pens as a child as I'm sure were most people! The pen is surprisingly really easy to use you just click to choose your colour, then twist to push up more of the product.

It's fairly chunky to hold but I think that helps to give a really good precision when it comes too applying the product, it's not heavy whatsoever though surprisingly and it's definitely more of a lightweight product! I think these are going to be perfect for on the go or for when travelling, I mean why take one lip liner when you can take four?

The pen includes four gorgeous shades which are all nude toned colours:

'Natural'
• 'Mauve'
• 'Nude brown'
• 'Pale pink'

These are definitely a nude lipstick lovers idea of heaven, there's a great selection of shades in the pen, including a mixture of both darker and lighter nudes so it will for sure come in handy if you're a nude lipstick hoarder like me!

I've been getting a good use out of almost all of the shades so far, apart from the lightest shade which is just a little bit too light for me when it's on the lips as I usually prefer my nude lipsticks to be a little darker.. but that's just my own preference! I think the shades would definitely be great on so many different skin tones from dark to pale skin, especially the first three shades which I would imagine would look even more amazing if you have darker or more tanned skin.

I am honestly so impressed with the formula of these, the shades apply so soft and smoothly to the lips.. I have had no problems with applying any of the shades whatsoever! The formula feels creamy to start with then once on the lips dries down to a more demi-matte finish.. which I think really helps to keep the lip liners on the lips for longer!

Pigmentation wise these are all super pigmented when applied to the lips, so there's no complaints on that aspect whatsoever! Even the lightest shade comes across so well pigmented on the lips, which I really wasn't expecting for such a light nude shade. That's one thing that always seems to impress me with products from I Heart Revolution and Makeup Revolution as a brand in general, they definitely know how to make their products super pigmented indeed!

One thing to also mention is these shades do seem to be going down quite quickly compared to a harder lip pencil as these are super creamy, but for such a cheap price I definitely wouldn't mind repurchasing another one when these shades run out.

The three darkest shades seem to last around a good 6-8 hours, which I was really impressed with especially considering the price. The only shade that I was a little disappointed in was the pale pink shade, it just didn't seem to last very well on my lips especially when eating and drinking.. but I guess three out of four isn't too bad, right?

I hadn't actually tried any of the lip liners from Makeup revolution until these four so I really didn't know what to expect for such a cheap price, but I'm really impressed especially with the darkest shade 'Mauve' which didn't seem to budge from my lips all day. I think I'll definitely be ordering some more as even some of my high end lip liners fade of my lips quicker than these do!

Four nude lip shades for £5? I think that's a pretty good deal indeed, you won't even be able to buy one lip liner from alot of places for that price these days, so to get four for £5 is pretty impressive! Even though the lightest shade wasn't the most long lasting the others were and the quality is amazing overall for such an afforable price. I've definitely enjoyed trying out this one and am very excited to keep on using it, so this will definitely be coming along to New York with me next month!

I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on one of the new multi liner pens from I Heart Revolution, as you can tell I am really pleasantly surprised.. I'll have another blogpost coming soon reviewing another one of the new multi liner pens so stay tuned for that! Let me know if you've tried any of the new pens yet, and your thoughts?

  1. That is such a clever idea, four liners in one pen! I love retractable liners, you never have to mess about with pencil sharpeners. I have a couple of Stila eyeliners and I adore them. I haven't thought about lip liners but for that price I'm going to have to get myself down to Superdrug ASAP! x

  2. This is such a strange, unique but very clever idea for a product! I used to love actual retractable pens, the ones with all the colours! These look fab; I don't wear lip products myself but the other one I'd definitely be interested in trying! Great review and lovely photos, as always!

  5. I am absolutely in love with the packaging of these, I was obsessed with pens like this when I was at school and this is SO cute. I'm not really a lipliner user, but the price is so good. I'm looking forward to finding out how you got on with the eyeliner one!
