New lip products from Phase zero makeup

Phase Zero are a new makeup brand on the block who are exclusive to Love Me Beauty and actually run things a little differently.. They have been quite hyped about recently around the blogosphere, especially over on instagram so I'm excited to share my thoughts on some of their lip products with you all!

The new brand have kickstarted by releasing a range of lipsticks, glosses, lip toppers and also single eyeshadows too.. In today's post I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on five of my favourite lip products from them with you, out of the selection I have tried so far..

First up, is one of their liquid lipsticks in the shade 'Gingerbread' and as a HUGE Christmas fan I definitely approve of the name! Shade wise this is a gorgeous deep brown, which also has a hint of red to it too.. I really do like this shade, it's perfect if you're looking to wear a darker lipstick colour without it being too over the top. This is a shade I've been reaching for alot lately, and I think this one would be perfect to wear around the festive season during December as it's a very pretty alternative to the traditional red for Christmas!

Formula wise it definitely dries down to a matte finish, I am trying to steer away from matte lipsticks as a lot of them seem to dry out my lips but this definitely isn't the case with this formula, it sits really nice and comfortably on the lips too! It doesn't necessarily feel hydrating on the lips, but it does have a slight creaminess to it which I really like.

I actually find this one to be very longwearing too, it lasts a good 6-7 hours before it starts to fade slightly which I was definitely impressed with for such a new brand, so this shade definitely gets a big thumbs up from me and is actually probably my favourite out of the selection I've been trying out!

Next up is their 'Postbox red' shade, which is one of their lipglosses. This one goes perfectly over the top of a regular red lipstick, or just on it's own too like I'm wearing in the photo below. It's perfect to wear alone if you're wanting to wear a red lipstick but are looking to wear something a little more sheer on the lips!

I've started to fall back in love with wearing glosses rather than a matte lip over the past few months, especially with the warmer seasons now here as I think they add such a healthy glowy finish to any look. I definitely think the glossy look has been coming back on trend lately as I'm seeing more and more brands focus on bringing them out, which I love!

What I love about this one is that it's not sticky at all, the formula feels so comfortable on the lips whilst still giving of that high shine finish. I do find this one pretty long lasting for a gloss, but it does need topping up half way through the day, especially if you eat as much as me, haha! I can't wait to keep wearing this one, especially throughout the summer months when they finally arrive!

Next up is another gloss in the shade 'Baby pink' which is a very light baby pink shade, this one is definitely on the more natural side and is very sheer but I think this one is perfect to pop on when I'm having a 'no makeup' day. This one also looks gorgeous over the top of a nude pink lipstick too, and like the above red glossy shade adds such a healthy glowy finish to any makeup look.

It's actually pretty long wearing for a gloss too, it does feel a little sticky at first but after a few minutes that seems to wear off and it actually feels pretty hydrating on the lips overall whilst feeling very lightweight too. I have needed to reapply this one after eating, but it's definitely the kind of lip gloss you can apply in a couple of seconds even without a mirror. I've been reaching for this one so much lately, and this is one of the lip products I would definitely want to rebuy once this tube eventually runs out!

I'm actually going on two holidays this year and this one will definitely be coming along with me to both, it's definitely the kind of gloss I would wear to the beach or just for the days when I'm not wanting to wear a full face of makeup.

Next up is another one of their liquid lipsticks and it's in the shade 'Pink Suede' which is your typical classic pale nude shade, with a slight pinkness to it. I really like wearing this one for everyday, it's quite a bit lighter than the shades I usually go for but I really have been reaching for this one a lot lately.

This one is super easy and quick to apply, it really does just seem to glide on the lips.. it's definitely the kind of shade you'll want to wear when you're in a rush and don't want to be faffing around, one coat of this one and you're good to go!

This one has a very nice velvetly matte finish, and dries down very quickly.. one thing I love about this one is that it's super long wearing, once it's on it's definitelty there to stay for a good while. I normally find paler nudes tend to wear off quite easily on my lips so I was very pleasantly surprised about this shade! Even after a meal, I've found this one doesn't seem to budge at all which I was really surprised about as the finish doesn't seem to dry down completely matte.. so if you're looking for a new nude lipstick to try, this one is definitely one to consider!

My last favourite is their 'Classic red' liquid lipstick, which is a gorgeous bold red shade exactly as the name suggests. Formula wise this dries down into a matte finish, but it does still also have a slight creaminess to the formula too, which I really like.

I find red liquid lipsticks a nightmare to apply, and even though this one takes abit more concentration to apply than the others it does apply nice and evenly to the lips. I've been trying this one without a lip liner to see how it holds up on it's own, but I would definitely recommend using a lip liner first to make things easier if your a makeup novice like myself and struggle with applying darker shades neatly!

The best thing about this shade is that it's SO long lasting, once this is on its definitely not going to move without a cleanser. Even after a cleanser, it does still stain the lips a little which goes to show just how long lasting it is. If you are out for a long busy day and you don't want to be reapplying lipstick, then this one is definitely the one you want to have on!

The lipsticks and glosses cost just £3.50 at the moment which I think is an absolute steal for a lipstick this good.. there's not many brands you can buy a liquid lipstick from for this price these days, but I'm really happy they are keeping their prices so low and afforable. So overall, I 100% think these are worth the price and more!

I hope you enjoyed hearing my thoughts on some of the newest releases from Phaze Zero makeup, I'm very excited to see what they'll bring out next! If you are interested in buying some of their products for yourself you can use my code 'KATEB5', which will give you £5 off any purchase. Let me know if you've tried the brand yet?

  3. Wow, I don't think I've ever read such a comprehensive lipstick/gloss review. Your pictures are beautiful too. I'm not really a fan of lip gloss because I always find my hair/food sticks to it but the lipsticks look lovely. I like the Gingerbread shade too and it's great to hear it's so longlasting. Fab review and recommedations, Kate, thank you for sharing! xx

  7. I love these colours, I used to only wear Mac, but I haven't really worn lipstick since I decided to only use cruelty free brands - it's so hard to find a decent cruelty free brand y'know?

I think I will definitely be ordering a couple come payday!
