New NSPA beauty rituals face masks

Over the past month or so I've been trying out lots of the new Beauty Rituals NSPA face masks, that are available to buy exclusively from Asda. If you've read my recent testing George at Asda makeup post you'll know I was very pleasantly surprised so I was very excited to finally try out some of their skincare!

I've actually tried a few products from NSPA in the past myself and really liked them, but that's mainly been bath products! There's a great range of new face masks available now, which have all been developed by Spa experts in the UK and I've definitely had a lot of fun testing them all out.. so I thought I'd share my thoughts on five of them with you today in this post!

The first mask I tried out was their detoxifying charcoal and menthol clay mask. This balancing masks aims to deeply cleanse the skin with its anti-pollution properties. The kaolin clay is enriched with detoxifying charcoal and refreshing menthol which both aim to draw out impurities and excess oil! I actually have very dry skin myself, where as this is aimed for people with oilier skin but even so it definitely helped to give my skin a good clear out - I especially noticed a difference on my chin area, it felt alot smoother and looked alot brighter after using the mask!

So, even though this one isn't specifically aimed for my skin type I really did like it, it's the perfect mask if you're looking to give your skin a strong detox. The only slight downside for me is that as I have quite sensitive skin myself and as this one is quite a strong mask, my face was very red after taking the mask off, but went back to normal after around ten to fifteen minutes, but this is something that usually happens for me with any kind of detox mask as my skin is pretty sensitive!

The second mask I tried out was the Kaolin and ginger warming detox mask, and this was such an interesting mask to try.. I don't think I've ever tried a warming mask before this one but it really did feel so relaxing. This would definitely be ideal to use on a cold winter night!

Again this mask is aimed for oily skin types and aims to open up pores, and give the skin a very deep cleanse. The kaolin clay is enriched with ginger oil to help draw out any impurities and leave the skin feeling cleansed and refreshed! This one was actually one of my favourites out of the selection I've been trying, it really did leave my skin feeling so soft, whilst feeling hydrated and refreshed too.. which I was quite surprised about for a detox mask. My only complaint about this one is that it applies quite unevenly and is very sticky, but for the results it's definitely worth the extra effort and I would for sure pick this one up again!

Next up is their new sweet almond and shea butter nourishing and moisturising mask, and this one is my firm favourite! It's aimed for dry skin types like my own, and aims to revitalise the skin. The mask is enriched with sweet almond oil and shea butter to help soften, hydrate and nourish.. so it's perfect if you suffer from dry skin like myself!

This was actually the first mask I tried, and it's still my definite favourite out of the selection I've been trying out. My skin has been super dry lately and a mask just like this one was definitely well needed! My forehead area seems to be one of my most dry areas at the moment, and this mask helped to hydrate it so well and also made my skin overall look alot more radiant and healthy too, which I'm sure is something we all want in a face mask, right?!

Another perk is this one has such a lovely scent, it definitely left my face smelling amazing which was a nice little bonus! I will for sure be picking up some more packs of this mask next time I'm shopping, if you have dry skin like myself or are just looking for a mask to give your skin some extra hydration then I honestly couldn't recommend this one enough.

The next mask I tried was their papaya and hops brightening and radiance peeling mask. This exfoliating mask aims to soften and brighten any dull, lacklustre skin by removing any dead skin cells. It's also enriched with papaya and hops to help reveal a more radiant and brighter complection!

I don't know about you but I absolutely love peel off masks, there's definitely something weirdly satisfying about them isn't there?! I would say the main thing I noticed with this one was how radiant it helped to make my skin look, it really did help to give a natural healthy looking glow to my skin. I think this one would be perfect to use during the summer months when the sun finally makes an appearance. Besides the practicality this mask smells amazing too, it definitely smells good enough to eat and is the perfect fruity summer scent!

The last mask I'm going to talk about is their vitamin E and seaweed rejuvenating and soothing sheet mask. Now I was very excited to try this one, as products containing vitamin E always seem to work so well with my skin and this one definitely didn't disappoint..

The mask aims to help revitilise any dry skin and is enriched with vitamin E and seaweed extract, which is naturally rich in anti-oxidants to help moisturise and replenish the skin. This one definitely lives up to its claims, my skin felt a little sticky after taking the mask of but once all the product was properly soaked in I could really see a difference in how hydrated my skin felt and looked.

The only thing I didn't like about this one is the scent, it's such a strong scent that did make my eyes sting a little. But for the results I would definitely use this one again. I think this mask would be amazing to take away with you on a long haul flight to help keep the skin hydrated and refreshed, and to help beat the jet lag!

All of the masks are currently only £1.50 which I think is ridiculously cheap for the price, especially compared to alot of similar brands. For the quality of the masks they could get away with selling these for over double the price, but I'm obviously very happy they've kept the price down and I will definitely be picking myself up some more next time I'm shopping. Another perk is that the masks contain enough product for around 2 to 3 uses, so you really do get your moneys worth with these!

Overall, I have really enjoyed trying out the new masks from NSPA, I am so impressed with the quality especially considering how affordable they all are! Let me know if you've tried any of the new masks yet, and your thoughts?

  1. I haven’t used a mask since getting my nose pierced as I’ve been scared to get anything in it, but I might have to pick up a few of these to try once it’s healed ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Wow! These look so good, I especially like the sound of a warming face mask. I’ve seen charcoal masks around but never knew if they were any good. I like the sound of a strong detox so I’ll definitely give this a try and what a bargain too! Great review and gorgeous photos Kate! ๐Ÿ’– xx

  6. The combos are really interesting - never hear of menthol in a mask but it kinda makes sense for it's detoxifying properties. I'm enjoying using masks lately, they make such a difference to the skin x
