Mother's day gift guide

With mother's day approaching soon I thought I would put together another gift guide. I've tried to include a range of gifts to suit everyone's tastes and budgets, just like my recent valentines gift guide, so I hope you find this helpful if you're still looking for gift inspiration! Mother's day falls on the 11th of March this year, so we've not got long to go.. Here's a list of some products that I think would make mother's day that extra bit special..

First up is a fragrance, I always seem to end up buying my mum perfume for mother's day and she loves it! Narciso Rodriguez for her is a fragrance that I think would be perfect for gifting this mothers day! The scent of the fragrance is absolutely gorgeous, it's pricey but the scent definitely reflects that. It's a mix of both musky and floral scents, with top notes of bergamot, orange flower and osmanthus, middle notes of musk and amber, and lastly base notes of vanilla and vetiver. The blend is honestly beautiful, creating such a mature and sophisticated scent. It's the perfect scent for mum's who prefer a heavier and more intense scent - I adore it and so does my mum too!

Besides the scent, I absolutely adore the sleek black glass bottle with the baby pink writing! It definitely looks like a luxury fragrance in my opinion, and I also love the soft pink box the bottle is packaged in too - it's definitely the kind of bottle to have out on display on your dressing table. I think that sleek and simple packaging is so on trend at the moment, and this bottle can be described as just that!

Next up is something for the Disney loving mum's, and it's a Mrs Potts beauty and the beast necklace from Chamilia. I know I have so many Disney fans that read my blog, and I'm sure that means lots of Disney loving mum's too! I don't think this could get any more perfect for mother's day, with Mrs potts being a mum herself in the movie. Aswell as that I think jewellry is such a precious present to gift on mother's day, as it's something that can be treasured forever!

I have quite a collection of pieces from Chamilia myself, and I can't fault the quality at all - everything is in amazing condition still, so even though some of their products are a little pricey they will definitely last for a long time! This particular necklace is made from sterling silver, and I think the detailing of the character is just spot on! I love how it's more of a dainty necklace too, and not big and bulky - it's definitely a nice way too wear abit of subtle Disney everyday and that's why I think this would make such a thoughtful gift for a Disney loving mum!

Up next is a gift set from Bubble T, if you follow me over on Instagram you'll know I'm obsessed with the brand, and most importantly so is my mum too - she loves their products just as much as me and I'm sure lots of other mum's out there would too! I mean, what mum doesn't love her bath products?

The pamper sets include their iconic bath T-bags, some bath pearls, a shower gel, some fizzy bath powder and lastly lots and lots of mini bath bombs - so, the perfect treat if your mum deserves a pamper! My favourite scent from Bubble T is their lemongrass and green tea scent, it's such a beautiful clean and fresh citrus scent. They also have the gift sets available in two other scents: Moroccan mint tea and also in Hibiscus and acai berry! These retail for £20, which I think is a pretty reasonable price considering just how big they are, they also have some smaller gifts on their website too if you are looking for something a little less expensive!

Next up is a lipstick set from Eye of Horus cosmetics, and just like my mum I know a lot of parents like to stick to nude lipsticks, so I think this set would be perfect! Eye of Horus are an Australian based brand, who take there inspiration from the ancient Egyptians - which I can definitely see in the gorgeous sleek black and gold packaging.

The set is actually limited edition, and contains six gorgeous lipstick shades ranging from a peachy nude to the perfect plum shade. I think the range of colours is perfect for those who like to stick to nude lipstick shades, which I know is something my own mum definitely does!

I think the gift set packaging is lovely too and so unique - it reflects the company perfectly! Formula wise these are absolutely gorgeous, they are all super pigmented and actually feel pretty moisturizing and creamy on the lips too, which I love. I definitely think this set would make a very special mother's day gift, especially for a mum who loves her makeup!

I couldn't resist adding a second fragrance to my gift guide and this one is from Coach New York, which I hadn't actually tried until recently but it's an absolutely beautiful one! I've included this one because like the above fragrance, I think it's such a safe bet for most women! It's a lovely floriental fruity fragrance, which embodies the spontaneous and chic style of New York city. The perfume includes a good range of different scents starting of with notes of sparkling raspberry, pink pepper and pear which blends into a scent of Turkish roses, which then dries down to a musky base note. I just love how all of the scents blend together, they really do create such a gorgeous fresh mordern fragrance! I really love it when fragrances include notes of pear, it always adds such a lovely fresh sweetness to any fragrance.

This one is definitely more of a sweet and fresh fragrance, but it's not overly sweet either - I think it has just the right balance! As well as the scent I think the bottle is lovely too, featuring the iconic Coach logo. The soft pink bottle with silver details is definitely a pretty one and I'm sure is something lots of mum's out there would love!

Next up, is a wooden engraved coaster- engraved with the words 'Mum, you are Tea-rrific' - which I think is such a brilliant pun, making it such a fun mother's day gift. You can also add your own personalised message to the back too, which I would definitely recommend doing if you're looking to by one as I think personal presents are definitely the most special. I'm sure any mum would love to receive something like this from their daughter or son on mother's day! Aswell as the personalised message you can also change the colour of the edging too, the colour in the photos below is called 'Sage' but there are some other gorgeous colours to choose from too.

At the moment these are on sale for £9.99 which is a little pricey for a coaster, but it really does feel well made and you can see the engraving has been so well done too! The company have also very kindly given my a discount code to share with my readers.. so you can use code 'KATESGIFTGUIDE' for a 10% discount if you're looking to treat your own mum to anything from their website, they have a whole range of products besides the coaster, so I definitely recommend taking a look!

I couldn't not create a gift guide without adding a candle and I've found a scent that I'm sure mums will love. It's the sun kissed raspberry scent from Kiss Air Candles ( a company that I LOVE ) - I think the scent is perfect with spring approaching and of course mother's day! The candle has a soft and fruity fragrance of raspberries slowly ripening in the sunshine, and it honestly smells gorgeous! I also love the packaging of their candles - I think the pink design is so pretty, and I'm sure any mum would be happy to have this displayed in their home too.

This candle is currently on sale for £9.75 which I think is a really good price considering the size and quality. Kiss Air Candles are actually a small business too, which I think are an amazing thing to support these days - especially when the quality is this good, trust me when I say their candles smell incredible - including this one! They also have a huge range of other scents available, so there's definitely something for everyone's tastes.

Next up is a beautiful gift set from Crabtree and Evelyn, now before we even get into talking about the product just look at that packaging.. isn't it gorgeous? I'm a massive sucker when it comes to pretty packaging, so I absolutely adore this one! The gift set includes one 100ml hand therapy, and one 100g hand recovery - so, the perfect gift for a mum who deserves a good pamper. The hand recovery gently softens rough skin and helps to prime and prep the hands, then the hand therapy intensely moisturises them. My mum's actually a nurse herself, so after a long hard day at work this is definitely needed, so its a gift that would be very much appreciated!

Their rose water and pink peppercorn scent is absolutely gorgeous, with scents of rose petals, pink peppercorn, akigalawood and patchouli. The blend is honestly beautiful, I've tried their plain rose water scent before but I definitely prefer it with the addition of the pink peppercorn myself and I think it makes the perfect addition to the original scent. The one in the pictures below is their full size set, but they do have a smaller set available if you're looking for something a little cheaper. If you have a store near by you then I definitely recommend popping in and trying the scent, because it's honestly gorgeous - I think it has to be my favourite scent that I've tried from the brand so far!

I've also found the perfect gift idea for any mum's who love their reading, and mine definitely does! The company is called The Book Matchmaker which is a small business based in the UK and the way it works is that you choose the genre you would like the book to be in or four key words which describe the book, and you'll receive a mystery book wrapped up with a letter and also a hot drink. I think the idea is genius and I don't think a gift could get any more perfect for a book lover than this, and it's a perfect way for someone to discover new authors and books too without judging it by its cover - which I'm sure we've all been guilty of doing sometimes!

I think the books look amazing wrapped up as they are with the alphabet wrapping paper and string, and as a book lover myself I would be over the moon to receive something like this as a gift. Aswell as the single books they offer a subscription service and also gift boxes which include things like a mug, a bookmark and an edible treat - which would be very ideal for mother's day too!

Another jewellery piece I thought would be perfect for mother's day is this Chlobo mini noodle cube, double heart bracelet. I think this is so simple and dainty, and perfect for any occasion - a perfect piece to show your mum just how much you love her this mothers day!

I have always loved the style of the Chloebo bracelets myself, and they all come packaged in a lovely white gift box too meaning they are perfect for gifting as they are, no need for any fancy wrapping paper! Another thing I love about Chlobo is that their prices are so reasonable, considering the high quality - their prices definitely won't break the bank! They have lots of designs available, but this one was my favourite as I think the heart charms fit in with the theme of mother's day so well.
Brown's family Jewellers: Chlobo

Next up is a skincare gift set from Clarins that I'm sure all mum's out their would be more than happy to receive this mothers day. If your mum is anything like mine, then she will love giving her skin a good pamper, and a Luxury skincare set is definitely something mine would be very grateful to receive! The set includes the very highly rated Clarins double serum, aswell as two very decent sized samples of their extra firming day cream aswell as their night cream too. I think Luxury skincare is such a nice thing to treat someone too, and we all know by now how well known Clarins are for their amazing skincare!

I've actually given this set to my own mum to try out for herself, and she is obsessed with the double serum - and I know its also been so hyped about lately in the blogosphere too! It contains 21 active plant extracts and it aims to help make the skin look more youthful and radiant - which I'm sure is something all mums want in a skincare product, right? The serum is pretty expensive, but I really do think you get what you pay for with it - and I'm sure any mum would be very grateful to receive one for herself this mothers day!

Lastly is a gift box from the company 'In the box gifts' who are an online store that sell gift boxes for different occasions, and I thought they would be the perfect way to finish of this gift guide! They have a number of different boxes available and they even have the option to build your own box and choose each item yourself, which I think would be ideal for mother's day as you can make sure all the items are perfect for your own mum!

The box in the photos below, includes a candle, a handbalm, a bag of prosecco gummies, a very pretty purple nail polish, a bar of Nom Nom chocolate and lastly a bag of Rosé gummies - and I know my mum would be more than grateful to receive a box packed full of these goodies. Oh and yes I did say prosecco and Rosé gummies, how cool is that? Perfect for a mum who loves her wine!

If these items aren't to your mum's taste then there are pages an pages of things you can add into the build your own boxes including mugs, tea, notebooks, planners, recipe books, makeup bags, edible treats and more.. so there is definitely plenty of items to choose from and I definitely recommend taking a look on their website, which I've linked below. The company have also very kindly given me a discount code to share with my readers, which is 'KATELOVES15'and will give you 15% off any order placed through their website!

I hope you enjoyed reading through this gift guide, and I really hope you found it helpful if you're still looking for gifts to treat your mum with this year! Let me know how you're planning on spending mother's day this year?
