Latest in beauty: Winter glamour collection box

I'm sure you'll all have heard of Latest in Beauty by now, they are pretty famous for their amazing value for money beauty boxes and they have recently just brought out their new winter glamour collection box. I love trying out new beauty boxes, I think they are such a good way of trying multiple products from different brands all in one place, and most importantly for a better price too! I'm so excited to show you all whats inside this one, because I think the contents of this box are amazing value for money, and is one of my favourite boxes they've brought out so far!

The first item in the box was a pack of two eco tools blending sponges. I actually already own both of these sponges, but it's perfect to have a back up for when they need replacing. I can't fault the sponges myself at all, I love that the set included two different sizes too as the smaller one is perfect for applying undereye concealer as it's so precise! I find that these are very similar to the real techniques beauty sponges, but I would say these two are a little bit firmer which I actually prefer - and so far they seem to be a lot more long lasting too.

These retail for £9.99 in boots, and that's almost half the price of this whole box which means amazing value for money already!

Next in the box were a pack of hair ties from the brand Kitsch, which I've actually never heard of before - but the quality on first impressions so far has been really good and I also really like the choice of colours you get in the pack too, I love that they are all wearable colours for everyday. These are the only type of hair ties I wear at the moment so it was super handy to have a pack included in the box! What I love about these is that they are so gentle on the hair, not damaging at all - they also don't leave your hair with a big kink in at the end of the day like regular hair ties.

This pack retails for £6.00 in boots, meaning that the first two items retail prices are almost over the amount you pay for the whole box already! That's definitely one thing about Latest in beauty I love, you will always get amazing value for money with their boxes.

Next in the box was a hair elizir spray from This Works, and this is in a sample size. I've seen this brand floating around on social media for a while now, so I was very excited to see what the hype was all about, and whether the product actually worked. A couple of sprays of the product really does help you to feel much more relaxed and ready to drift of to sleep, I would definitely recommend trying out a sample out of this if you have trouble sleeping - it really does help you to get into a more relaxed state which has helped me to easily fall asleep!

As well as the sleep benefits, the spray also contains sunflower extract and botanical oils of argan, jojoba and baobab to help revive the hair, so it's definitely a great multi-purpose product! I've definitely noticed my hair has an extra shine to it the morning after using this.

Also included was a duo pencil sharpener from the Vintage cosmetics company, and this retails for £4.95, so pretty pricey for what it is, but on first impressions it does seem really good quality, and of course I absolutely love the pink packaging - which is very me indeed! I just wish the actual sharpener was as pretty as the box. I am always loosing my lip pencil sharpeners so I'm very happy to have another spare to use!

The next item I really like, and it's a lip liner from Rodial in the shade nude and it's definitely one of my favourite items in the box. You can never have too many nude lipsticks and lipliners, and this shade is just gorgeous - it matches so many of my current lipsticks so I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of use out of this one. Apart from the shade the formula feels very creamy and not drying at all, it's also pretty well long lasting too. So, no complaints at all from me for this one, I can't fault the formula at all on first impressions!

The liner retails for around the £20 mark, which is super expensive for a lip liner and is exactly the same price as the whole box! I definitely can't get over the value for money in this one box!

Also included in the box was a Charles Worthington moisture seal leave in conditioner, which is packed with coconut and argan oils. I absolutely love using a leave in conditioner when my hair needs a good pamper, I've only used this a couple of times since receiving it but on first impressions it's one of the best I've tried in a long time, it really did leave my hair feeling so soft and silky.

The price for a full size bottle is just £5.99 which I don't think is a bad price at all and definitely won't break the bank, I will for sure be buying this in full size when mine runs out. I think this would be perfect to take abroad too to give your hair a good nourish after being in the sun, I'll definitely be taking this with me on my holidays this year!

Next up was another hair product, a hair treatment from Moroccanoil - I had heard so many good reviews about this brand and I had never actually tried a hair oil myself before, so I was very excited to try this one out. I've been using this on just the ends of my hair, I have such long hair at the moment and I really have noticed a difference to the ends since using this! It's helped to make them look so much healthier than they were, giving it a really nice shine too! I was worried that it would make my hair feel oily but it really doesn't at all.

Another bonus is that it leaves your hair smelling pretty amazing too! The full sized bottle retails for £32, so to get a really generous sample size in the box is amazing. As much as I do love the product, I could never justify spending £32 myself on just one hair product, yikes!

Also in the box was a Nude by Nature loose powder foundation in the shade 'W2 Ivory' , which I was so intrigued about and very excited to try - I've definitely never tried anything like this before now. This is a sample size again but you actually get a very good sized amount of product in the pot, that it almost looks full sized, which is great!

On first impressions I actually really like the formula of the foundation, it gives a light to medium coverage which is the coverage I prefer myself and it seems to be pretty long-lasting too. The product doesn't feel heavy at all, I would definitely recommend trying this if you prefer a more natural finish with a foundation. The only downside is that this shade is a little dark for my pale skin right now, but I would definitely be able to make this work during the summer months, if we hopefully get lots of sun!

The last item in the box was a creme bronzer from Max factor in the shade light gold. I have actually never owned or tried a product from Max Factor so I was very excited to try this, and I was pleasantly surprised - the quality definitely feels more high end than drugstore. I really like the formula, it's so easy to blend and gives a lovely streak free finish.

The shade light gold is just perfect for my skin tone too, it gives the most gorgeous sun kissed glow to the skin - I much prefer this to a fully matte bronzer, it really does help to make my skin look a lot healthier and brighter than it is! It's definitely not a dark bronzer though, so I think this shade would definitely be quite hard to work with if you had darker skin - but if you're pale skinned like me you will LOVE it! The bronzer retails for £9.99 so again great value for money to have it included in the box.

The whole box alone costs just £20 for so many high quality, and well known makeup brands. The fact that the lip liner alone retails for £20 shows what a great value box this is. Latest in beauty could definitely get away with selling this for more, but I'm so glad they've kept the price down. I think the box is perfect for trying lots of new products in one place, for a fraction of the price you would pay to buy them individually!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I am SO impressed with the contents of their winter glamour box, it's definitely a beauty box with amazing value for money and a good range of high quality products and brands too. I can't wait to see what Latest in beauty bring out next! Let me know in the comments if you've tried a box from them yet?

* This box was sent to review, however as always all opinions are my own.*

  1. This would've been so exciting to open up! I really enjoyed reading about the moroccan hair oil and the Eco Tools face sponges because those are products that I have been eyeing for a long time! I purchased the Real Techniques sponge and it's actually been ripping! It worked well in the beginning but recently I found that my foundation has been lifting off my face when blending, could be the products that I'm using though. I would repurchase the sponge anyway because it's getting a bit old and that could be why (I clean it before every use too). Definitely interested in trying the Eco Tools version though! Also I've been reading your blog for a little while now and I thought I was following, turns out I wasn't! So just followed!

  2. I am incredibly impressed at the value for money of this box! The hair ties are absolutely gorgeous and would make a lovely addition to a hairstyle or just worn around your wrist! The Nude by Nature Foundation Sounds right up my alley as well, I can't stand anything too heavy or thick! I've heard great stuff about Morroccanoil too, so glad that it lived up to the hype!
